The support groups are sponsored by the Family Caregiver Support Program through Washington County Disability, Aging and Veteran Services. The support groups are being facilitated by professional counselors from Misty Mountain Family Counseling Center. When: The groups meet once a month for one and one half hours. The groups are open groups and you are welcome to join at anytime. Who: Anyone who is caring for someone over the age of 60. This can include a spouse, child, family member, or a friend. Cost: The support groups are free of charge. Format: The support groups will provide both encouragement and education. Those who attend will not only walk away encouraged, but will be provided with a program that teaches caregiver skills. Additional Services Provided: · Individual Counseling · Telephone Support · Educational Materials · Resources · Referrals to other agencies · Training Opportunities · Respite
